But before we understand the difference between branding and labelling, we need first to understand what brand is?
What Is A Brand?
A brand is the name, logo, or symbol used to identify and distinguish a company from other companies. The brand is an intangible asset that is developed in order to build recognition and create awareness.
Brands are essential for businesses because they represent everything that the business stands for. It can be anything ranging from quality of products to customer service standards and practices.
The primary purpose of branding is to communicate what you do, who you are, and how your business can help others.
When customers buy your products or services, they want to know where it came from and how it was made. This allows them to make decisions based on your brand’s reputation rather than just one single product alone.
In short: A brand creates an identity that creates a connection between people & brands allows us to form relationships with other people through our associations with them (brand).
What Is Label?
A label describes a person, place, or thing in a more specific way. The term is often used in legal and business contexts.
For example, labelling that occurs in business settings is called branding. Marketing and advertising materials such as websites, television commercials, and billboards are used commonly.
Brands help consumers identify the source of products based on common characteristics among products from different sources.
This makes it easier for consumers to make purchasing decisions when they need something fast or need multiple items at once instead of needing each item individually.
In short, you can say that a label relates to a tag that reveals information about a product on its package, container, or the product itself.
What Is Branding and Labelling?

Branding may include developing a logo but can also be expressed through other methods such as colour schemes, print materials, or even an entire brand identity system.

Labelling is a method of assigning a unique identifier to an object. It is used to distinguish the object from other objects in the same category. A label is usually placed on a product in order to convey a message or idea.
Labelling is a good way to improve the quality of your product and increase its marketability.
What Is The Difference Between Branding and Labelling?
There are two terms, “branding” and “labelling”. The first one is about the creation of a brand, and the second one is about how you label your products.
In branding, you create a brand that represents your company or product. In labelling, you identify your products by using labels to ensure quality control and safety standards in production.
An excellent example of this would be the different types of containers for food, including cans, jars and pouches, which have specific labels on them, so consumers know what they are buying.
The same principle applies in the case of branding as well because it helps customers differentiate between companies/products based on their experience with a particular brand or logo.
So when it comes to branding and labelling, I believe both these terms’ the essence is the same!
