In the article, I will be reviewing how to find an affiliate marketing niche that is profitable and has plenty of content that you can write about.

Regardless of the niche that you select, you will be able to find a plethora of topics to write about. For those of you who are new to affiliate marketing, we should first start out by defining the word “niche”.

What is a Niche? How To Find A Profitable Niche?

A niche is defined as a distinct segment of a market; in short, it is your audience.

It will make it a lot easier if when choosing your niche, you select a hobby, interest, or something that you are passionate about.

You do not need to be an expert in the field that you choose, however it does help if you do have an interest or willingness to learn what is necessary to become an expert.

Keep in mind that the niche that you select can be turned into a full-time income or business.

When I initially started out, selecting my niche was a little confusing for me because my selection was too broad. I am going to help you avoid that hurdle, so your selection process will be smooth sailing.

I will be separating the steps needed to select your niche below. Here goes!

Brainstorm/Research For Keywords and Categories

The first step when choosing your niche is to compile of list of your interests, subjects that you are passionate about, and subjects that you may want to learn new things about.

Your initial list will be long, and the topics will be broad. Don’t worry about any of that right now. The point of this research is to get your ideas down.

Research Your Competition

The next step in choosing your niche is to research the competition. You are going to be looking for things that you can offer that your competition cannot.

If your competition has:

  • Lack of Transparency
  • Lack of Paid Competition
  • Low-Quality Content

The likelihood that you can outrank your competition is high. If these things are not present with your competition, you are going to have to set the bar high, research your keywords thoroughly, and stay on top of your SEO.

Figure Out the Profitability of Your Niche

When you select a niche, you want to be sure that it is profitable. Otherwise, what’s the point, right?

So, by now you should have an idea of what topics you want to cover and what is working for your competition. However, you still need to be sure that the niche you select will be a profitable one.

To determine the money-making potential of your topic or choice, a great place to start is Clickbank. Do a search on top products in the categories from your brainstormed list. If you don’t find any offers, you may not want to use that selection.

However, if you can find a decent number of offers then that means that niche can be monetized.

The list of products does not have to belong. You may also want to take note of the price points of the products.

Narrow Down Your List

In this step, you will want to narrow down your brainstormed list to a specific audience that you want to service.

Remember, the more you enjoy doing something the less it feels like work. The niche that you select will be your business.

You will want your choice to be one that excites you as you will be

  • Interacting with Others within Your Niche
  • Selecting Products to Promote
  • Creating tons of Content
  • Helping Others in Your Niche

Remember, whatever you choose is essentially going to be your baby. There is no right or wrong niche choice.
