You will definitely agree with me when I say:
SEO takes time to work. Isn't it?
But what if you got to know some of the actionable “White Hat SEO Techniques” that can help you drastically increase your rankings and traffic?
After reading today’s post, you will be able to skyrocket your ranking within two months.
In fact, I have tried and tested these same techniques to boost my traffic and sales.
So, let's dive right in.
1. Use Schema To Rank Higher.
Modern themes and even WordPress are now making use of Schema, found at Schema.org to help crawlers understand your website more accurately.
Generally, Schema is commonly used to create Rich Snippets.
If you are a WordPress user, then adding Schema is absolutely easy. Check out the step by step guide by “Yoast SEO” to add schema.
You can also add structured data blocks using Yoast SEO widgets.
Here's how to do it.
Also, briefly, I will explain to you the benefits of using Schema:
- The rich snippets are helpful to the searcher because they answer the question instantly.
- When you add schema to your webpage, it gets easier for the “GoogleBot” to read and understand your page easily.
- Schema also helps to improve CTR.
That was all about Schema and Structure Data Markup. Moving on to the next White Hat SEO Technique.
2. Improve Your User Experience (UX).
Google has said many times that the website with better page experience and user experience will rank higher.
You also know that Google keeps making changes in its ranking algorithm to judge the pages and their content and rank them accordingly to provide better UX to the user.
Hence, you need to resonate with their agenda to rank higher.
We're announcing an updated timeframe for introducing the page experience ranking signal for Google Search. A gradual rollout will begin in mid-June.— Google Search Central (@googlesearchc) April 19, 2021

This is the proof that conforms Google uses Page Experience along with the User Experience to rank pages on SERP.
But the rule of improving Page Experience is making your Webpage code user-friendly.
After making your code user-friendly, you can follow these three steps to determine a good User Experience for your audience.
- Optimize your page according to the user’s intent.
- Have smooth navigation to decrease your bounce rate.
- Carry out various A/B tests to determine which design or layout suits best for you.
- Multivariate testing (MVT).
- URL targeting.
- An easy-to-use visual editor for making changes to your site.
- Cookie targeting.
- Browser, operating system, and desktop versus mobile targeting.
Do frequent content experiments, to improve your conversion rate.
3. Resource Page Link Building.
Let’s now cover another white-hat SEO technique that is link building technique called Resource Page Link Building.
This strategy is similar to link roundups which we will discuss in the next technique with one major difference.
Like link roundups, resource pages link to awesome content on a given topic.
But unlike link roundups, resource pages include the all-time best content on that topic. Now you might have a question about how to build links from resource pages.
First, find different resource pages in your niche. When you find a page where your link would make sense, send the site owner your post link.
Obviously, this is a bit of a numbers game, but if your content is amazing, most people will have no problem adding your link to their resource page.
4. Link Roundup Technique.
This is a somewhat similar technique like before, this link roundup method.
I can’t believe I haven’t talked about backlinks yet. It’s my most profitable way of ranking higher. After all, a Google employee recently said that backlinks are still one of Google’s top three ranking signals.
And now I’m going to show you one of my all-time favorite link-building strategies, link roundups. Link roundups are weekly or monthly blog posts that link to the best content that recently come out.
So if you publish high-quality content on your site, you have a good chance of getting your content included in a roundup.
Let’s get into the steps of building links.
First, you need to find link roundups in your industry. All you need to do is search in Google using these searching strings, and you should find at least a handful of roundups that are a good fit for your site.
You can also search for:
- Target Keyword + Link Roundups
- Target Keyword + Roundups, and more such.
And that's how you make use of link roundups for effective link building.
5. The Mobile-First Indexing.
“Mobile First” approach to SEO started back on April 21, 2015, which was named “Mobilegeddon”.
According to the Search Engine Journal, the one who didn't heed the warning to go mobile will soon be paying a high price.
Hence, it is sure that Google is now doubling down on mobile searches.
If you are not sure if your website meets the mobile-friendly ranking signal, then:
- Log in to your Search Console account.
- Click on the Mobile Usability Report.
- Here, Google will let you know about the mobile issues.
Being an amazing and popular search engine Google will also give you corrective measures to improve your mobile experience.
Follow the suggestion and implement the best practices to drive traffic using “mobile-first”.
6. Reduce Your Bounce Rate.
Okay, let’s roll over with technique number six, which is to reduce your bounce rate.
Last year Brian Dean analyzed one million Google search results to figure out why certain pages ranked higher than others.
One of his findings was that pages with a low bounce rate tended to outrank pages with a high bounce rate.
Your bounce rate is the percentage of people that click on your site in Google search results and then click their back button.
Now, it’s not clear if Google uses bounce rate as a direct ranking signal.
But Brian’s findings could be the case of correlation not always equaling causation.
For example, pages with a low bounce rate might just have straight-up better content, and that’s why Google ranks them so highly.
Maybe Google might use bounce rate as a direct ranking signal and not the ranking factor.
Anyways, I recommend improving pages on your site that have a high bounce rate. It will boost your conversion rate and will probably also help with your SEO.
7. Publish In-Depth Content Helps In Ranking.
Working on amazing content, it’s time for our number seven white hat SEO technique.
If you ask me about a piece of content that I published and it quickly hit the first position on SERP for my target keyword. I would say I published an incredibly in-depth piece of content on SEO.
And my search engine ranking factor study found data to support this up.
I found that informative, in-depth content tended to rank best in Google. In reality, what does this mean?
It means that posts like Five Tips for X or Four Ways To Do Y simply don’t work anymore unless they are providing insanely informative content.
To rank today, your content needs to cover everything there is to know about your topic.
8. Always Have A Content Marketing Plan.
A SEO case study was published by The Content Marketing Institute which stated that only 37% of respondents believe they are effective at content marketing.
You know quality content is the second most important ranking factor for Google. Hence, it’s pretty important to improve it.
You might say “I create amazing content”, but do you really mean it?
To create an epic piece of content the first step is to find the right audience, and then try to reach that audience.
That’s where keyword research comes into action.
Well, I have created a detailed guide on keyword research for SEO. You can refer to it.
But I share with you some white hat SEO techniques of doing keyword research.
9. Keyword Research For SEO.
I always say keyword research is the building block of SEO.
Google will never tell you that there’s a content void for a particular topic, so use a particular keyword to fill the void.
Google understands the topic of your post through keywords using its machine learning algorithm the none other than RankBrain.
Modern keyword research tools suggest your keyword related to the Parent Topic or Seed Keyword.
Hence, to make Google understand your content better, you should do keyword research.
I will now share with you the two keyword research techniques.
10. Find Long Tail Keywords.
Find long-tail keywords with searches related to. Here’s exactly how to execute this master SEO technique.
First, type a keyword into Google. Next, scroll to the bottom of the search results until you hit the searches related to the section.
This section is where Google shows you keywords that are similar to the one you just searched for on Google.
And because these terms come straight from Google, they are great long-tail keywords for you to target.
11. Finding Keywords With Untapped Sources.
Now it’s time for technique number three, which is to use these little-known sources of amazing keyword ideas. You have probably already used Google Suggest that you find long-tail keywords.
This is where you type a phrase into Google and see which keywords Google suggests. Now, this white hat SEO technique can be very useful, but there’s one problem with this approach.
Everyone knows about it!
That’s why I recommend using untapped sources of suggested keywords. I am saying you to visit websites like YouTube, Wikipedia, Amazon, and Bing.
For example, let’s say that you’re going to write an article about SEO, but you didn’t have a keyword for that article.
Instead of typing the phrase SEO into Google, or try YouTube, and you get a whole new set of suggestions.
You can get even more awesome keyword ideas by doing the same thing in Bing.
As keyword research is the most essential research for getting higher traffic, I call it market research.
12. Use Power Words In Your Title Tag To Improve Your CTR.
I have seen the title tag starting with these power words in your title tag, get more traffic.
You know, SEO Professional Ross Hudgens ran an interesting SEO experiment. Ross Hudgens analyzed 7,999 pages that ranked on the first page of Google.
So what do you think, what did he find out?
Ross found out that the pages that were ranking on the first page of Google managed to use these powerful words in their title tags. Google was/is ranking up those websites that get a more organic Click-Through Rate (CTR).
According to Ross, certain terms tend to attract lots of clicks from Google users. And because pages that use these terms in their title tag get more clicks, they also get higher rankings.
Now, besides these terms that Ross found, there are many other powerful words that you can use to maximize my organic click-through rate. But, I leave them up to you.
13. Optimize Your Click-Through Rate Using AdWords Ads.
Okay, let’s move on to our thirteenth white hat SEO technique.
I already showed you how a higher CTR can help you get higher rankings.
So now it’s time for me to reveal one of my all-time favorite ways to boost my own CTR: Google AdWords. In case you’re not familiar with how Google AdWords works, it’s basically a big auction.
But unlike most auctions, Google AdWords will make sure that an advertisement’s click-through rate. If an advertisement is having a high CTR, it gets a precipitous discount on every click, that’s a fact.
Now, needless to say, almost every ad that you see in Google is optimized to maximize clicks. And when I realized that I could use these ads to write my title and description tags.
With that, let me walk you through this step-by-step process.
Search For your Keyword In Google.
First, search for your keyword in Google. Spy out for AdWords advertisements that mostly appear at the top and bottom of the first page.
If you notice any words that the advertisements tend to use a lot that are usually bolded, then use those into your title tag and description tag.
You will apparently notice an increase in your CTR, I guarantee you.
14. Mobile is Local – Claim Your Business Listing.
Let's understand some data before.
If a searcher is searching for “pizza” on Google using a smartphone then:
- 94% search for location information.
- 51% visited a store.
- 48% called a store.
- 29% made a purchase.
That was Insane, isn’t it?
Google is now focusing on delivering hyper-local results.
Hence, if you run a local store and wanted to get traffic to your website, then you need to list yourself on “Google My Business“
You can easily beat your competition if you claim your business on “Google My Business”. It’s like winning the half-battle.
15. Focus On Voice Search.
SEO experts have seen the conversational search answers technology is being applied to voice search.
Voice Search is the fastest-growing type of search. Marketers are expecting exponential growth in voice search.
The data reveals that 55% of teenagers and 41% of adults are already using voice search daily.
I have also collected some important data that will help you optimize your website for Voice Search.
- 36.4% of voice search results and suggestions come from pages that use Schema.
- Nearly, 40.7% of all voice search answers are displayed in a Featured Snippet.
- Only a few voice search results had the exact query in their title tag.
- Almost 70.4% of Google Home result pages use a secure connection (HTTPS).
Amazon Echo and Google Home are the dominant devices that have captured the market share.
So make sure you have optimized your website and content for the voice search.
Now It's Your Time.
In this post you have seen many White Hat SEO Techniques, some of them are advanced White Hat SEO Techniques and some are basic but worth implementing.
Just make sure to always stay on the right path (White Hat SEO). Never try for Black Hat SEO.
“Prefer long-time success over short wins”.
And, now it’s your time.
Finally, after learning such effective SEO techniques, let me know in the comments which techniques you will try first, and which ones you liked the most.
I am curious to know!
